class descriptions
There is so much said and written about Occupational Therapy (OT) these days. It seems every child is either getting OT for sensory issues, fine motor coordination or gross motor skills. If you have considered OT for your child (or OT was recommended for them) or you think your child would benefit from having more opportunities to work on any of these issues/skills but are not sure they need specialized, one-on-one instruction keep reading.
Starting this fall, Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Loren Norman, is bringing a new program to apple seeds. This class offers children in preschool a complete "hands on" experience. While engaging in fun fine motor activities, children will improve their ability for tasks like cutting, sewing, beading, doing mazes and writing - as well as finger/hand muscle strength and eye-hand coordination. Their busy fingers will be tearing, molding, cutting, pushing, pulling and pinching numerous mediums. Through FUN and PLAY your children will develop age appropriate skills and get help to become more proficient in areas that have challenged them.
