	Independence Day Party (2008) June 30th We celebrated the 4th of July a little early this year. Kids wore their favorite swim suits, played with sand, created red, white, and blue artwork and rocked out to a free concert with mr. Ray.
	Madison Square Park KIDSFEST (spring 2008) May 31st Since fall 2006 apple seeds has co-sponsored Madison Square Park's KIDSFEST. We are always proud to participate in this amazing event for families as well as support (our favorite) park. In May '08 we hosted activities from our OOOHHH...AAAHHH...IIICCCKKK science and build it! break it! fix it! construction classes. Next KIDSFEST…October 18th 2008. Hope to see you there.
	Mother's Day Party (2008) May 10th apple seeds celebrated moms a day early with card making activities, face painting, food and (kiddie and adult) manicures.

	March of Dimes March for Babies (2008) April 27th apple seeds proudly supported the March of Dimes by participating in the March for Babies event. Our table had activities for parents and children and great raffle prizes.

	Lincoln Center's Jazz for Young People Kids Fest (2008) April 5th apple seeds participated in kid's festival at the beautiful Rose Theatre Atrium. Concert goers got to experience activities from our OOOHHH...AAAHHH...IIICCCKKK science class.

	Want It! Saks Fifth Avenue and New York Magazine Savor the "Best of New York" (2008) March 13th apple seeds, named Best Play Space by New York Magazine, participated in this great shopping event at Saks Fifth Avenue. We provided face painting and balloon animal making activities for shoppers’ children.

	apple seeds 1st birthday party March 1, 2008 So many of you joined us to celebrate our first birthday! We were thrilled to have everyone there enjoying all of the activities…book readings, construction activities from build it! break it! fix it!, art projects from my Chelsea art opening, party games, snacks, drinks and cake. 	Play for the Park (2008) January 27th apple seeds was proud to host the first annual Play for the Park fundraising party. All the profits from the event directly support free programs for kids in Madison Square Park. Families were treated to cookie decorating (and eating) with Eleni's, face painting, balloon animals, OOOHHH...AAAHHH...IIICCCKKK science experiments and 4 amazing concerts by...Mr. Ray, AudraRox, Paul Helou and Erin Lee & Marci. 	Winterfest (2007) December 20th Snow, snow and more snow. We rang in the season by making and decorating snowflakes…and made wet and dry instant snow to play with and bring home.

	my Chelsea art opening Gallery Show April 26, 2007; August 21, 2007; January 3, 2008; April 15, 2008 Every semester the emerging artists from my Chelsea art opening and apples & crafts "show" their work in our very own apple seeds art gallery setting. Students, family and friends enjoy food and drinks while admiring their masterpieces on the walls as well as their entire semester's worth of work in their own personalized art portfolios (which they take home of course). Here are some highlights from past shows.

	Halloween (2007) October 31st This party was all treats and no tricks. Kids in costumes monster mashed, pumpkins were decorated, faces were painted and everything else seemed to glow.

	The Biggest Baby Shower Ever (2007) October 17th apple seeds participated in this event put on by Big City Moms. Expectant and new moms enjoyed food, raffles, shower games and seminars. Other sponsored included The Bump and Time Out New York Kids.

	Breastfeeding Nutrition Seminar—Eating for Two (2007) June 15th Certified Nutritional Practitioner, MaryAnn Scandiffio of Bravado Designs (who outfitted the apple seeds nursing lounge) lead this luncheon on healthy eating when eating for two. Other participants included Belly Dance Maternity and Mothers & Menus.

	The Nest Baby Launch (2007) May 18th apple seeds was the location for the celebration of the birth of the website, TheNestBaby.com. Attending families played in the playground, participated in activities from COOKing monsters and my Chelsea art opening, enjoyed entertainment and music from Music Together teacher Pete Heitmann, had photography sessions with Sarah Merians of Kids & Co. and enjoyed cocktails/mocktails, organic eats and kid's food from Kid Fresh and a diaper lounge sponsored by 1800-Diapers.
